Other Operations

The Kilimasimba hard rock stone quarry was commissioned on 1st November 2007. It has an installed capacity of 1200Tonnes per day. The quarry serves to produce aggregates for use in construction within Shalina Resources and also for external sale. The main plant was sourced from South Africa and consists of a jaw crusher, cone crushers, vibrating screens and a vertical shaft impact crusher (VSI). The plant is capable of crushing hard rock to a good shape and to a wide variety of sizes. The VSI also ensures the manufacture of a quality sand product.

The operation is owned 100% by Shalina Resources and employs approximately 70 people. Over 95% of the employees are local Congolese.
