Our History

Shalina Resources was the first of the new investment companies to start producing pure metals in the DRC. It started its mineral operations in 2001, with the construction of a pilot plant  producing copper and cobalt carbonate in Lubumbashi. Its success, since first production in 2002, is due mainly to the modular development of its assets. This has allowed it to self-fund the vast majority of its operations.  It is also attributable to the company’s long operating history in the DRC
