Shalina Healthcare relocates part of its manufacturing operations to China in line with its strategy of producing affordable products.

The Shalina Group makes its first inroads into the mining industry by exporting rough malachite to China. Meanwhile, via its nation-wide pharma wholesale  depots selling medicines such as painkillers, anti-malarials, anti tuberculoses drugs  and dermatological creams it continues to build strong local (Katanga) and national relationships with the government both in the DRC and Angola.

The business continues to build brand loyalty becoming a known and trusted company within the DRC. Profits are reinvested to ensure increased rates of organic growth for the medicine business and diversification plans are made to enter into the mining industry with the production of metallurgical salts.
