Developing African Potential
Shalina Resources is a growing mining and metals company. Our principal activities include mineral exploration, development and mining in the Katanga region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Shalina Resources is privately owned and part of the Shalina Group, which has been operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) for nearly thirty years. Shalina Resources is headquartered in Dubai. We have operating offices in Lubumbashi (DRC) and in London.
We currently produce copper cathodes, cobalt carbonate and sulphuric acid. We are committed to producing ‘value-added’ products within the Democratic Republic of Congo. To this end, we have worked with renowned hydro-metallurgists and engineers, to develop the technology to produce cobalt cathodes by early 2009.
The major factor to our success is our equal focus on both the continuing growth of Shalina Resources and also on social responsibility.

We are already one of the largest investors in Katanga. We are committed to developing the communities in which we operate: through funding and building regional infrastructure and also giving opportunities to local Congolese people through training and long-term career options.
